The rates are taken from published provider pricing pages and are not confirmed against a real bill — a promotional rate on a public page doesn't prove your account receives it. Token counts come straight from each API response. Reasoning tokens
are billed at the output rate, which is why output counts can run
higher than the visible reply suggests. Rates live in the
PRICING object in this page's source.
Stopping a reply does not make it free. The provider bills for whatever it already generated. When you press Stop, the exact token counts never arrive, so the figures for that message are worked out here from the text received — shown with ≈ instead of ~, and likely a slight under-estimate.
